	The Most Rev. Dr. A. John Sathiyakumar is the Founder and Chairman of the Bible College Besides it also runs Extension Education facilitating Theological education to all those who meet the basic minimum requirement.

Salient Features of Bible Colleges:

Need

Bible college is an essential accompaniment of great commission given by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and it is to be found everywhere as a distinct, separate and dominant activity of the churches. Hence importance of Bible College cannot be under estimate.

Nature

Inspite of the growing importance of Bible Colleges, which is contributing to the quality of human life, the concept of Bible College is still clouded by certain misconceptions. It is a paradox that the term “Bible College” continues to be the most misunderstood and misused.

Factor of production

Together with the Church the Bible College is regarded as double – edged sword for the ‘factor of production’ in the Lord’s vineyard. To give much fruits and do the ministry effectively, skills given by Bible College to be acquired by each and every person laboring in the Lord’s vineyard.

Goal Oriented

The Bible College is fighting “not as one that beateth the air” (I Cor.9:26). But the important goal of all Bible College activity is to be accomplishing the objectives of the great commission.

Supreme in thought and action

Though the Bible Colleges are being managed by the persons having biblical skills (i.e. by human beings), its teachings and action plan are according to the bible and as such it’s thought and actions are supreme in nature (i.e. heavenly).

Important organ of Church

Bible College as an activity has carved for itself and important place in church. In fact there is an interaction between Bible College and Church. While the Bible College influences the Church activities, the Church activities influence the Bible College. This has created an impact on the social and moral obligations of church management that cannot be easily ignored.

Profession

Though the Bible College is divine oriented in nature, it makes a judicious use of available resources to accomplish certain predetermined ends (Aims given to the Church through great commission.) To achieve this successfully, servants of God need to possess biblical knowledge with proper training. Moreover they enjoy considerable social prestige too.

Meet the challenges of chance

In recent years, the challenge of change in political, social and economic fields, has become intense and critical for the Christian community. This can be overcome by biblical and also by scientific approach only. This is possible by the Bible Colleges.

Requirements

The seven ‘M’s are required for effective management of Bible College viz, Men, Material, Money, Machines, Methods, Market (publicity – advt.) and Management as in the cases of all the organizations.

Problem

All the six ‘M’s are readily available with us but the seventh ‘M’ i.e. Mr. Money is not sufficiently available for us. This is the main problem of many Bible Colleges all over the world.

Ambition

It is our ambition that the Orthodox Anglican Church of India which is having the very big Church history shall start a full fledged Bible College as per the parameters elucidated above.

Bishop – ACI – Tamilnadu, Chairman, Bethania Foundation, India, the Orthodox Anglican Church of India is getting reformation in many ways. The branch of Bible Colleges are some among them.

Initially the Bible College of ACI was started at Avadi bearing the name of Bethania Bible College.

Subsequently another branch started at Tiruvanmiyur. Graduations for the first batch students studied at Avadi and Tiruvanmiyur, who have successfully completed had been held in a grand manner.

Recently third batch has been started at Palani.

Apart from the above correspondence courses are also conducted and many more students have been graduated through this branch also.
